I am the
former Chairman of the UCLA Clinical Biofeedback Certificate Program, UCLA Extension and
School of Medicine and past President of the Biofeedback Society of California. During the
1970s, I opened the first free-standing outpatient Biofeedback Clinic, to my knowledge, in
the world. As a licensed therapist and Clinical Member of the American Association of
Marriage and Family Therapists, I spent several years on the staff of the UCLA Pain
control Unit. During the 1980s, I founded the Biofeedback Department of the Hollywood
Presbyterian Medical Center and have been involved in the start-up of numerous hospital
departments and private clinics on a consultant basis. I have frequently been invited to
give technical talks to medical audiences throughout the country on topics related to
stress and medicine. In addition to my work in stress, I have extensive experience in the area of headache, and I evaluate patients and participate in clinical research in a neurology clinic. |
